Gurus,
Let's see about Analyze phase of Six sigma series.
It is the third phase and longest phase of the six sigma life methodology. Six sigma believes in statistical facts and there is no room for guessing. In this phase, we collect data on all our inputs and outputs and then use one or more of the statistical tools to analyze them.
Purpose of Analyze phase:
The purpose of the Analyze phase is to find out whether there is any significant relationship between each of the inputs and outputs.
Types of Analysis:
There are five specific types of analysis that will help to promote the objectives of the project. They are:
1) Root cause analysis: Attempt to find out the reason for any issues.
2) Process analysis: Attempt to find out the best process to promote the goals of the project.
3) Data analysis: Attempt to find out the data which caused the issue on the project.
4) Employee analysis: Attempt to find out the employee strength and their training requirements.
5) Communication analysis: Attempt to easier the communication way to promote the objectives of the project.
Tools used in Analysis phase:
The following are some of the tools used in Analysis phase of the Six Sigma methodology. Try to focus some light towards them to get clear idea about how are they working:
Analysis of variance,
Regression,
Correlation,
Hypothesis testing, and
Graphical analysis.
Catch you soon with another interesting post on Six Sigma methodology.
Till then, happy coding and surfing!!!
