We all know that negotiation is a mandate skill for the managers. It is not a single step procedure. It has many a steps to achieve the desired goal. They are:
Prepare for negotiation:
Before negotiating anything with anyone, we should know what we want from that person and we should understand what are they and how to start the negotiation with them.
Open:
Once we entered into the negotiation with the people, we should be open with the arguing person and should make your point to them. Mean time, we should also listen to their point and try to adjust our point with that.
Explore:
Before getting into the negotiation, we should explore the points we require from the negotiator. It will give a positive waves from the negotiator to us.
Signal:
Try to signal that you are ready to work with the person then and there in the negotiation. It will make a positive impression about you in the negotiation and produce most favour result for you.
Close:
Close the negotiation once you reach your goal in the negotiation. It will help you to move with them smarter way.
Sustain:
Once you agreed for the negotiated point, you should make sure what is agreed happens as per that communication from both ends.
