Gurus,
We will discuss about the Risk Management this time. Risk is there at all places. As a manager, we need to identify the risk and take preventive action against it. I have given the following risks in the various types. Kindly go thorugh the same and reply me if you know any other risks:

Technology Type Risks:
The database used in the system cannot process as many transactions per second as expected.
Software components that should be reused contain defects that limit their functionality.

People Risks:
It is impossible to recruit staff with the skills required.
Key staff are ill and unavailable at critical times / Deliverable times.
Required training for staff is not available within or outside organisation.

Organisational Type Risks:
The organisation is restructured so that different management are responsible for the project.
Organisational financial problems force reductions in the project budget.

Tools Type Risks:
The code generated by CASE tools is inefficient.
CASE tools cannot be integrated.

Requirements Type Risks:
Changes to requirements that require major design rework are proposed.
Customers fail to understand the impact of requirements changes.

Estimation Risks:
The time required to develop the software is underestimated.
The rate of defect repair is underestimated.
