Statement of Work (SOW)

Managers, we will briefly discuss about the Statement of Work in this place today.

Project Statement Of Work is called as alphabet of project work. It is a tool to track the work’s progress. It must contain all the description of the work that is being carried out.

When to write SOW:

It should be written during the planning phase after completing the Scope statement. The Scope statement will explain us what it is we need to build. After the SOW should be done. It will capture details on how we are going to build it. The SOW defines the work to be done, so it must be written before the work can be scheduled, or broken down in our Work Breakdown Structure.

Parts of the SOW:

The SOW may contain the information as follows: Scope of project in brief, location of the execution, period of the work, deliverable schedule, Application standards, Acceptance Scenario, special requirement from the management.

Catch you later guys… Cheers!!!
